Project4Pros (“Project4Pros,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates an online marketplace through project4pros.com that connects contractors with homeowners seeking home-improvement services.

- Information We Collect
Contractor and Website User Information
We may collect:
• Name and business name
• Email address and telephone number
• Billing address
• Account credentials
• Purchase and order history
• Trade, service area and business preferences
• Communications with Project4Pros
• Device, browser, IP address, cookie and website-usage information
Payment information is processed by payment providers such as Stripe. Project4Pros does not ordinarily store complete payment-card numbers.
Homeowner and Project Information
For individuals requesting home-improvement services, we may collect:
• Name
• Telephone number and email address
• Project address
• City, state or region
• Requested service and project description
• Preferred appointment date and time
• Project timeline
• Financing or budget-related information voluntarily provided
• Notes relevant to the requested estimate or appointment
This information may be collected directly from the homeowner or through authorized representatives, marketing sources or referral partners.
- How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
• Create and maintain contractor accounts
• List qualified home-improvement opportunities
• Process purchases and provide purchased lead information
• Connect homeowners with a contractor regarding the requested project
• Confirm project details and appointments
• Process payments, refunds and account credits
• Prevent fraud, duplicate sales and unauthorized access
• Provide customer service
• Improve and secure the website
• Meet accounting, tax and legal obligations
• Send operational communications and, where permitted, marketing communications
- Disclosure of Homeowner Information
Before purchase, Project4Pros displays only general project information, such as the trade, general location, scope, timeline and appointment information.
After purchase, the homeowner’s name, telephone number, email address, project address and relevant private notes are disclosed to the purchasing contractor. Leads represented as exclusive are intended to be sold through Project4Pros to one contractor only.
Project4Pros requires an appropriate basis, including consent where required, before disclosing homeowner information to a contractor. Contractors may use the information only to communicate about the specific home-improvement project requested by the homeowner.
- Service Providers
We may share information with providers that help us operate the marketplace, including:
• Hostinger and WordPress for website hosting and administration
• WooCommerce for ecommerce and order management
• Stripe and related payment networks for payment processing
• Email, security, analytics, backup and customer-support providers
• Professional advisers or government authorities when legally required
These providers may process information in Canada, the United States or other countries. Information processed outside your country may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.
- Sale or Sharing of Personal Information
Project4Pros’s service includes disclosing homeowner contact information to a purchasing contractor in exchange for payment. Under certain privacy laws, this activity may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information.
Homeowners may request that Project4Pros not sell or share their information by emailing hello@project4pros.com with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.” Once a valid request is received, an unsold listing will be removed or withheld from sale unless another lawful basis permits its continued processing.
Project4Pros does not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16 years of age.
- Cookies and Analytics
We may use necessary cookies for accounts, carts, checkout, fraud prevention and website security. We may also use analytics or preference cookies to understand website usage.
Browser settings can be used to block certain cookies, although doing so may prevent account, checkout or other website functions from operating correctly.
- Retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including fulfillment of purchased leads, dispute resolution, fraud prevention and accounting or legal obligations.
Order and payment records may be retained longer when required by tax, financial or ecommerce laws. Information that is no longer required will be deleted, anonymized or securely isolated where reasonably practicable.

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or loss. Protected homeowner information is withheld from public product pages and is made available through the applicable purchaser’s order or account.
No online system can be guaranteed completely secure. Users are responsible for protecting their passwords and notifying us promptly of suspected unauthorized access.
- Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may request:
• Access to personal information we hold about you
• Correction of inaccurate information
• Deletion of information, subject to legal exceptions
• Information about how your information was used or disclosed
• Withdrawal of consent where processing depends on consent
• An end to marketing communications
• That we not sell or share your personal information

- Contractor Responsibilities
Contractors who purchase leads act independently from Project4Pros and are responsible for their subsequent communications and handling of homeowner information.
Contractors must protect purchased information, use it only for the requested project, comply with applicable privacy and telemarketing laws, and must not resell, publish or disclose the information to unauthorized parties.
- Children
Project4Pros is intended for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
- Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the marketplace or applicable requirements change. The revised policy will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
